Habitat for Humanity International
The Habitat for Humanity movement was founded in 1976 in Americus, Georgia by Millard Fuller along with his wife, Linda. The program developed from the concept of "partnership housing" where those in need of adequate shelter work side by side with volunteers from all walks of life to build simple, decent houses.
Habitat has built more than 250,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1 million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter. Click here to learn more.
